Welcome to the Pet Monkey web site. The old full Pet Monkey band went in different directions during April 2003 and left standing in it’s wake was the acoustic project of Robin Dollar and Scott Strange which disolved later that year when Robin took employment in Anchorage, Alaska. When Scott met Kara Landes and realized there was a great musical chemistry, they both decided reviving the dormant Pet Monkey project was a logical decision.
Pet Monkey has added the incredible voice and talents of Kara Landes to the lineup. Kara has sang in many situations in the Louisiana music scene, but since moving to the Indianapolis area a couple years ago, has gone relatively unnoticed to the Indiana music scene. Until now.
Kara Scott
Pet Monkey again capitalizes on the diverse talents of its two members. Kara plays hand percussion and congas and Scott handles 6-string and lead guitar parts. Additionally, both are extremely adept at lead and harmony vocals and utilize a rhythm machine and Digitech vocal processing to fill out their stage sound. A state-of-the-art Mackie sound system brings top notch audio to any venue and stage lights compliment the show.
